The webinar will provide an opportunity for the Lancs & S Cumbria LDC to explore skills for identifying and supporting Dentists experiencing mental health difficulties and discuss further training needs for their group and the wider workforce.

To provide an introduction to knowledge and practical skills for identifying and supporting Dentists experiencing mental health difficulties

• Acquire a basic understanding of the key symptoms of anxiety & depression, including suicidality and how a cognitive behavioural model of emotional disorder provides an evidence-based framework for understanding common mental health problems.
• Build skills to identify & respond to professional peers in experiencing mental health problems; including suicidal thoughts.
• Explore the mental health and wellbeing training needs of the Lancs & South Cumbria Local Dental Committee and the wider dental workforce
• Identify key takeaway messages and develop a shared action plan

Following the webinar participants will have a greater understanding of how to support dentists experiencing mental health difficulties.
