The aim of this course is to educate delegates in the principles of Emergency First Aid and medical emergencies including:

· Basic life support-Adult, Child & AED

· Simple Airway management & use of oxygen

· Major/minor illnesses

· Use of emergency equipment within the practice

· Risk assessment/ Documentation

· Team leadership and Management

  • To asses patients using the structured ABCDE approach
  • To manage medical emergencies using a structures approach in a simulated environment Within the      parameters of their knowledge & training until more skilled personnel assume responsibility

  • The safe & effective use of emergency resuscitation equipment
