To give an introduction to hypnosis and demonstrate its usefulness in dental practice

Objectives
  • To explain the nature of hypnosis and the background to its scientific study
  • To raise awareness of the clinical uses of hypnosis, particularly in dentistry
  • To have an experience of responding to hypnotic suggestion
  • To stimulate interest in further training in clinical hypnosis
