The aim of the workshop is to support early-career dental professionals in developing purposeful, emotionally intelligent, and well-supported approaches to personal and professional wellbeing, through reflective practice and values-driven goal-setting

Objectives
  • Clarify professional identity and purpose by exploring personal values, setting meaningful goals, and aligning development with individual strengths.
  • Enhance emotional insight and regulation skills by identifying common emotional experiences in dental practice and adopting effective strategies for self and team wellbeing.
  • Foster a sense of connection and resilience by strengthening support networks, nurturing a culture of belonging, and cultivating adaptive coping skills for challenging situations
Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a clear sense of values and purpose in their professional lives.
  • Apply these values to their goals and future development.
  • Utilise supported goal-setting approaches and distinguish between helpful and unhelpful types of goals.
  • Recognize the value of support networks, including both professional mentors and personal relationships
