Aims

To allow the Foundation Dental Therapists to refresh their restorative skills on phantom heads, while being supported by an ES/TPD.

Learning outcomes
  • Refreshed knowledge of the principles of cavity prep for composite and amalgam
  • Improved confidence in cavity prep skills for restoration with appropriate dental materials
  • Obtain greater skill and confidence in the placement, carving, contouring and polishing of restorations
  • Gain skill and confidence in the placement of rubber dam
