Mandatory: Dental Foundation Therapist

To design and deliver a face to face session for dental therapists preparing for future career employment opportunities and developing delegate self-awareness and readiness for the recruitment process

To consider best practice in respect of CV writing and completing the application process

To prepare Dental Therapists for recruitment interviews – key interview techniques, effective conversations and building confidence

To consider leadership aspects and skills required within a dental team, so to equip dental therapists with improved confidence to aid transition into workplace

Within the session to consider best practice in CV writing – building and developing delegates existing CVs

To understand the recruitment interview questioning process and develop/practice responses to key questions.

To consider different perspectives in the interview situation to help inform delegate preparation

To have an insight into leadership aspects and skills required within a dental team

To use learning styles questionnaire amongst other tools to aid self-reflection/self-awareness regarding approach/style and preferences
