Aims

Provide an opportunity to review the current dental models of care for children and young people.

Objectives
  • Discuss the challenges involved in providing NHS dental services for children within general dental practice.
  • Review the current referral pathway between primary and secondary care, recognising areas of strength and potential improvement.
  • Debate clinical cases, illustrating the different pathways and management options available for complex situations in children’s dentistry.
