Aims

To provide dental staff with foundational knowledge and best practices in infection control and decontamination procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.

Objectives
  • Discuss the importance of effective decontamination in dental settings.
  • Identify the key stages of the decontamination process (cleaning, disinfection, sterilization).
  • Describe the correct use and maintenance of decontamination equipment (e.g., ultrasonic bath, washer-disinfector, autoclave).
