DescriptionThe course is designed for dentists who wish to improve their skills working under NHS Regulations. Both clinical and non clinical knowledge will be covered. Ideal for dentists returning following a career break, or international dental graduates.

£500 with the option to pay in 2 instalments of £250

 

This is session three of a six day course, the course fee is for all six days so please be aware that no refunds will be given for any day missed.

  • Tuesday 15th July 2025 - Basic Restorative Treatments - Amalgam/Composite Day
  • Friday 25th July 2025 - Minor oral surgery – hands on day using pigs’ heads
  • Wednesday 6th August 2025 - 3P’s – Periodontology/Prosthetics/Paediatric dentistry
  • Tuesday 12th August 2025 - Advanced Restorative Treatments– Crowns/Inlays and onlays/Bridges
  • Tuesday 19th August 2025 - Endodontics – Introduction to primary care endodontics

Aims

Review the criteria, procedure and sequalae of root treatment in NHS practice.

Objectives
  • Identify the differences between pulpal health and disease, and the conditions which may require treatment or onward referral.
  • Demonstrate non-surgical root canal treatment on single and multirooted teeth with mild curvature of the canal and understand when referral is appropriate.
  • Rehearse the performance non-surgical root canal treatment on single and multirooted teeth with mild curvature of the canal and understand when referral is appropriate.
  • Discuss the restorative prognosis for individual teeth and relate this to the overall treatment plan and patient’s aims and expectations.
Learning outcomes

Delegates will be able to
