Hands on: Contemporary Management of Toothwear with Composite Resin - Saturday 5th July 2025 | University of Liverpool

The fee for this course is £225.00 for Dentists. This fee includes the practical sessions and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments. Dental nurses can attend free of charge when a delegate fee is paid.

Places on this course are limited to 12 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 20th June 2025.

Cancellation policy: A refund, less £35 administration fee, is guaranteed for cancellations received up to three weeks before the start of the course (6th June 2025). Aims

To help practitioners improve their composite resin and tooth preparation skills to allow them to manage toothwear patients.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, delegates will be able to:

  • Describe the aetiology of non-carious tooth surface loss
  • Describe the different options available to manage tooth surface loss, including the use of indirect restorations, overdentures and composite resin
  • Recognise that a full contour wax-up and palatal matrix/index can significantly help the clinician to restore worn teeth with composite resin, especially if a layering technique is to be employed
  • Describe the limitations, longevity and maintenance issues relating to the use of composite resin to restore worn teeth
  • Restore worn posterior teeth with adhesive gold onlays
