Aims

To enhance DPASS facilitators' understanding of emotional intelligence, focusing on its role in self-care and effectively supporting individuals referred to the service, fostering improved interpersonal interactions and resilience in their professional practice.

Objectives
  • Reflect on Core Facilitation Practices: Provide DPASS facilitators with dedicated time and space to critically examine and enhance key elements of their professional practice.
  • Foster a Community of Practice: Create a collaborative learning environment where facilitators can share experiences, strategies, and insights to strengthen their support for colleagues.
  • Enhance Self-Care Skills: Equip facilitators with tools and strategies to prioritise their well-being and maintain resilience in their roles.
  • Strengthen Risk Management Competencies: Build facilitators’ capacity to identify, assess, and respond to potential risks effectively in their work.
  • Develop Skills for Managing Emotions and Challenging Behaviours: Provide practical approaches for navigating emotional challenges and addressing difficult behaviours in professional settings.
  • Ensure Safety and Well-Being: Empower facilitators to implement effective practices for keeping colleagues and participants safe in various scenarios.
