This event is for Educational Supervisors/Clinical Supervisors and Training Programme Directors involved in Dental Specialty and Dental Core Training only.  

Mandatory: Clinical Supervisor, or DCT Educational Supervisor, or DCT Training Programme Director, or Educational Supervisor, or Specialty Educational Supervisor, or Specialty Training Programme Director

To provide an update on current themes in training and education of Dental Core and Dental Specialty Training within NHSE WT&E North West

•  To receive updates from the Lead Employer , NHS England WT&E leadership on changes within dental and medical training overall and within dental core training, dental specialty training and new models of training.
• To improve the understanding and support available to Trainees Requiring Enhanced Support (TRES).
• To increase awareness of what to expect from New Dental Graduates
• To understand the Generic Curriculum for Specialist Training and the different approaches within the specialty specific dental curriculums.
• To share good practices in training methods

By the end of the session delegates will have a better understanding of the processes, procedures and support available around the delivery of training and education within NHS England WT&E North West. They will be able to apply this knowledge and understanding to their practice as educational supervisors and TPDs within dental specialty and dental core training.
