This fee includes the practical sessions and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments. Places on this course are limited to 14 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Aims | To help practitioners improve their knowledge and application of partial and complete removable dentures. It is an interactive session of seminars and hands on practice. Seminars will cover partial denture theory with emphasis on: principles of denture design to include acrylic & chrome dentures, clasp selection, connector selection, management of free end saddles and alternative materials available on the market like PEEK and Valplast. Also, complete denture theory will be discussed with emphasis on: principles of complete denture design, impression techniques, occlusal registration techniques, management of flabby ridges, and basic implant retained overdentures. The hand’s on sessions will cover surveying casts and design partial dentures on models. Models will be provided but delegates can bring their own models/cases in on the day and are encouraged to do so. Also preparing a premolar for a metal ceramic crown with milled features to accept a bespoke cobalt chrome denture framework. | ||
