To present an overview of dental implants – surgical and restorative aspects.

Objectives
  •  Explore the indications for dental implants
  •  Patient planning for dental implants
  •  Indications and contraindications for dental implants
  •  Step by step approach to placing and restoring dental implants
  •  Considerations for different implant prostheses – single teeth to full mouth rehabilitation
  •  Complications and how to avoid them
Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding –

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the role of implantology in dentistry.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the range of dental implantology treatment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the influence that the patients general health may have on dental implant treatment.
