DescriptionThis webinar will cover occlusal terminology, theories and evidence base on how to assess the occlusion for a routine patient and a patient with an occlusal issue. Techniques for recording and reproducing the occlusion on various articulators and the relevance of occlusion to simple and complex Restorative Dentistry will also be included.

Objectives
  • Recognise the key concepts in occlusion and the terms used to describe them
  • Discuss the different theories of occlusion through explanation of the evolution of the evidence base
  • Identify how to assess a patient through discussion of the key features to determine during an examination and the relevance of positive/negative findings
  • Determine how to record occlusion and the application of articulators
  • Review the application of occlusal principles to simple and complex clinical cases
