  •  Increase the awareness of general dental practitioners about various enamel defects.
  •  Support general dental practitioners in their knowledge and skills to manage the child patient with enamel defects, including the decision to      treat or to refer to a secondary care provider.
Objectives
  • Discuss etiology of enamel defects.
  • Review classification and diagnosis of enamel defects.
  • Consider challenges for the patient and the practitioner.
  • Highlight management options.
  • Discuss the decision to treat or to refer.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the webinar, the participants will:

  •  Have updated their knowledge about possible causes of enamel defects in primary and permanent dentition
  •  Feel confident in diagnosing various types of enamel defects
  •  Be able to discuss several treatment options for the child patient with enamel defects
  •  Confident in selecting which patients require referral to secondary care
