  • To help delegates prepare for the next stage of their careers with respect to applying for higher training or other posts/roles
Objectives
  • To discuss career options and opportunities
  • To optimise candidates’ CVs and portfolios
  • To describe the application and interview processes for specialty training
  • To give delegates hands on experience in specialty training applications
Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop the delegates should:

  • Have critically appraised their own CV and be able to create a CV that will aid them in obtaining future jobs applied for.
  • Have critically appraised their own portfolio of evidence and be able to create a portfolio in line with what will be expected of them during         the recruitment process.
  • Have a better understanding of the application and interview process for specialty training and feel better prepared to navigate this.
  • Have had the opportunity to practice and prepare for specialty training interviews.
  • Have greater insight into the range of career opportunities available as a dentist
