Registration begins 1.15pm

*Please note this course is fully subsidised by Health Education England, if you fail to attend this session you will be charged a cancellation fee of £30

Open to all members of Greater Manchester practices with an NHS contract.

One dentist, the HLD Champion and Practice Manager from the practice need to attend to complete the Pride in Practice award.

  • To provide greater understanding of the barriers faced by LGBT people in accessing healthcare services.
  • To promote awareness of how to support LGBT patients by developing inclusive practice and improved patient-centred care.
  • To share how Pride in Practice can offer ongoing support to enable you/your practice to support your LGBT patients more effectively.
Objectives
  • To begin to develop an action plan to improve LGBT patient experience.
  • To begin the process of gaining accreditation for your practice to achieve the Pride in Practice quality assurance award in ‘excellence in LGBT healthcare’.
