DescriptionThis hands on course for GDP's is a seminar and practical based session, covering endodontic strategies used to manage basic and advanced endodontic cases, as well as endodontic failure.
Additional information

The course is aimed at qualified General Dental Practitioners (GDPs). It meets the new GDC requirements for enhanced CPD. Delegates can attend with an assisting dental nurse to enhance their skills and will qualify for enhanced verifiable CPD

This course is subsidised by Health Education England. The subsidised fee is £125.00 for Dentists. This fee includes the practical sessions and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments. Dental nurses can attend free of charge when a delegate fee is paid.

Places on this course are limited to 10 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 14th February 2020

Aims
  • To help practitioners improve their skills in contemporary rotary endodontics, irrigation and thermal obturation of root canal systems with gutta percha.
  • A siminar and practical based session, covering endodontic strategies used to basic and advance endodontics cases. as well as endodontic failure to comprehensively discuss and demonstrate rotary instrumentation of curved canals and gutta percha removal and with rotary retreatment files.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, delegates will be able to:

  • Create a glide path and understand the importance of patency filing.
  • Use rotary NiTi Protaper Gold and Wave 1 Gold Files
  • Obturate canals with cold and thermoplastic gutta percha and be aware of the contemporary sealers available to optimize apical healing.
  • Remove gutta percha with rotary re-treatment files.
  • Identify which endodontic cases may need referral to a specialist for treatment such as removal of canal obstructions, management of open apices and endodontic surgery.
