Aims

To explore best practice when working with Neurodiverse patients exploring; co-production, practical strategies, latest guidance and policy regarding this and giving advice to oral health staff to tailor to their areas/patients.

Objectives
  • Discuss latest guidance in regards to health & neurodiversity – exploring health inequalities & reasonable adjustments
  • Examine co-production & practical strategies to enhance patient experience for neuro diverse patients
Learning outcomes

Participants will be:

  • aware of the varying needs of the neuro diverse population and how reasonable adjustments can be made to address health inequalities.
  • able to build a toolkit and resources to support with good oral health outcomes.
