Aims

To increase awareness of Primary Care aspects of Children's Dentistry

Objectives
  • To increase awareness of the treatment of trauma often seen in Primary Care
  • To develop an understanding of when and how to treat deciduous teeth in primary care
  • Review of commonlyused restoratibe materials used in Paedodontics
  • To appreciate orthodontic implications in primary care paedodontics

Learning Outcomes:

  • FD's will be able to confidently treat commonly encountered trauma cases
  • FD's will be able to cmpare the different restorative materials for use in paediatric dentistry
  • FD's will be able to develop treatment plans in Primary Care Dentistry which take into account the unique nature of that setting
  • FD's will understand the orthodontic implications of primary care in childrens dentistry
