Aims

To help delegates prepare for the next stage of their careers with respects to applying for higher training posts.

Objectives
  • To discuss the benefits of further training
  • To optimise candidates CVs and portfolios
  • To describe the application and interview process for specialty training
  • To give delegates hands on experience in specialty training applications
Learning outcomes

By the end of the workshop the delegates should:

  • Have critically appraised their own CV and be able to create a CV that will aid them in obtaining future jobs applied for
  • Have critically appraised their own portfolio of evidence and be able to create a portfolio in line with what will be expected of them during the recruitment process
  • Have a better understanding of the application and interview process for specialty training and feel better prepared to navigate this
  • Have had the opportunity to practice and prepare for specialty training interviews
