This fee includes the practical sessions and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments. Places on this course are limited to 16 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 19th March 2020.

Aims
  • Putting evidence in to practice for the contemporary and biological management of caries in primary and permanent teeth of children.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, delegates will be able to:

  • Evaluate recent developments in children’s dentistry: evidence, best practice & politics
  • Appraise evidence for the management of caries in primary and permanent teeth
  • Assess how SDCEP guidelines and the Minamata Convention on Mercury impact on practice
  • Undertake preformed metal crowns on simulated carious primary molars
  • Undertake use of novel restorative dental materials that are suitable substitutes for amalgam
  • Manage the expectations of the generation z patient
  • Discuss the application of novel caries management techniques with case studies
