Aims

To provide an understanding into veterans, reservists and dependents issues and demonstrates how cost effective identification, support interventions and resources can be incorporated into service provision.

Objectives
  • Overview of the armed forces and veterans community
  • Establish a greater understanding of the issues facing ex armed forces personnel when transitioning out of the armed forces and back into civilian life.
  • To provide an in-depth understanding into the culture of the armed forces and how this can impact on positive engagement.
  • Identify priority healthcare and mental health care provision

Delegates will be able to identify this client group at the earliest opportunity and collect data. Be able to incorporate support services to support clients who are veterans.
