This training is part of the Greater Manchester Dementia Friendly Dentistry Award. 

*Please note this course is only for dental teams with an NHS contract and is fully subsidised by Health Education England, if you fail to attend this session without giving 2 weeks notice you will be charged a cancellation fee of £35.

Registration for this course is from 5.30pm

Catering; A selection of vegetarian/non vegetarian options will be made available, however please be aware that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, Vegan. We therefore suggest that delegates bring their own food if you have a specialist requirement.

Aims

To increase Primary Care dental teams ability to support patients living with dementia.

Objectives

Primary dental care teams will:

  • Review care and treatment planning for patients living with dementia.
  • Be able to utilise the dementia friendly dentistry toolkit in the dental setting.
  • Identify ways they can support patients living with dementia whom attend their practice. 
Learning outcomes

Participants will be able to implement changes in their setting to promote dementia friendly dentistry.
