Aims

The aim of this presentation is to show how current knowledge in periodontology can be applied to everyday dental and hospital practice.

Objectives

1. To review current techniques for periodontal diagnosis and recording of data

2. To show how to achieve predictability in non-surgical periodontal therapy

3. To discuss the role of re-evaluation in treatment planning

4. To show the scope of contemporary periodontal therapy in managing situations not amenable to

     non-surgical therapy alone.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After attending this course you will be able to diagnose periodontal diseases with confidence and understand how to manage a wide range of periodontal problems in general and hospital dental practice.
