Aims

This seminar will show how safe aesthetic and functional dentistry can be accessible to many more patients. It will cover the principles of the alignment, bleach, bonding concept, creating simpler, safer and more affordable realistic options for many more patients – which can be carried out by any dentist.

Objectives

· To understand the application/ limitations/ advantages and disadvantages of simple alignment techniques, outlining arch evaluation, IPR, expansion and retention

·To understand how ABB can quickly create dramatic improvements without aggressive dentistry – and that this can be carried out in any practice

·Be aware of latest investigative and treatment devices, materials & developments in the overall MI management of caries

· To understand how occlusion can be controlled with anterior alignment and the Dahl principle

· To understand the principles and step by step sequence of minimal prep ceramics and cementation

 

Learning Outcomes:

Delegates will have an understanding of;

· The treatment potential for improved aesthetics with short term orthodontics and the different systems available.

· How short term orthodontics can be used , in conjunction with composite bonding , to create a stable occlusion and reduce the risk of tooth wear

· The options for retaining teeth post orthodontics or as a preventative treatment

· How good aesthetics can be achieved with-out the need for tooth preparation and be able to achieve full consent for aesthetic treatment planning.
