Aims
  • To demonstrate various techniques that can be employed to improve restorative
  • Predictability for direct and indirect anterior restorations
  • Show how these techniques can also help with consenting the patient.
  • Directing technicians and demonstrate the effect of planned changes to clinicians
Objectives
  • What information to provide to technicians to allow for predictable aesthetic restorations
  • How to generate prototype restorations from traditional wax up method How to avoid wax ups.
  • The role of composite mock ups in patient/clinician guidance.
  • How to generate mock ups Intra oral composite prototypes and how these can be used for matrix manufacture for direct and indirect restorations
  • How technicians use prototype records Consider the role of digital dentistry/ CAD CAM in restorative planning for anterior teeth
Learning outcomes

Following the session delegates will have:

  • Improved knowledge for aesthetic restorative planning.
  • Ability to generate prototype restorations by conventional techniques and also by intra oral mock ups.
  • Improved communication with technician team
  • Improved understanding of how to demonstrate planned aesthetic changes to the patient.
