Aims

To provide an overview of the diagnosis & management of soft & hard tissue lesions & conditions , affecting the mouth & jaws.

Objectives
  • recognise the signs & symptoms of oral mucosal lesions, including ulcers & coloured patches.
  • recognise the signs & symptoms of soft & hard tissue swellings, affecting the mouth & jaws.
  • provide interim & definitive management, as appropriate.
  • prepare patients for referral to secondary care, if appropriate.
Learning outcomes

Following the session delegates will be confident with the identification & management of oral hard & soft tissue lesions.
