All dental practices should aim to minimise risk of a potential fire, and follow the appropriate health and safety guidelines and this is something which may be reviewed by CQC KLOE. This course provides you with an understanding of currently legislation, common causes of fire and the duties of a fire marshal. Now including hands on fire extinguisher training.
Additional information

This course now includes the Hands on Element of using Fire Extinguishers. This aspect of the course will greatly increase your confidence to be able to use a fire extinguisher in the event of an emergency.

Registration begins at 1:00pm

If you have completed a Fire Marshal course with HEE within the last 5 years, you will not need to take this course again.

Aims

The aim is to provide understanding of the role of a ‘Fire Marshal’ and responsibilities of the role, understanding the difference between Fire Extinguishers and how to effectively use them.

Objectives
  • identify common causes of fire (elements of fire)
  • identify structural fire protection in your premises
  • understand the duties of a fire marshal
  • recognise and understand fire safety management and associated policies
  • gain an understanding of current legislation
  • identify the first aid fire fighting equipment appropriate for different types of fire
Learning outcomes

Delegates will further understand current legislation and understand the role of a fire marshal and have the confidence to use firefighting equipment if required.
