Objectives

Improve delegates knowledge and recognition of

  • Oral cancer and potentially malignant disorders
  • Oral manifestations of substance abuse/misuse
  • Oral side effects of medications

commonly encountered oral mucosal disease including oral lichen planus and lichenoid lesions, recurrent oral ulcers and infectious diseases

Learning outcomes

At the end of the sessions, delegates should feel confident to

  • Recognise suspicious oral lesions requiring (urgent) referral
  • Manage recurrent oral ulcers within secure settings
  • Recognise and manage the oral side effects of drugs
