Aims

To show ways that a therapist can be used within the practice and some systems on how this is paid for.

Objectives
  • Review the way a therapist can work within a practice to help achieve the contract.
  • Interpret the new proposed FP17 and CDO guidance.
  • Discuss payments/referrals of therapist.
  • Identify how associates /patients can be “got on board” with working with a therapist.

  • Be able to apply how a Dental Therapist can be integrated into the practice.
  • Apply a payment scheme that can make it viable.
  • Be better equipped to talk to patients and associates about working with a Dental Therapist.
