The session will start at 6pm with a buffet meal allowing time for peer review and networking amongst participants. This will be followed by a lecture with time for discussion.

Catering

A selection of vegetarian/non vegetarian options will be made available, however please be aware that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, Vegan. We therefore suggest that delegates bring their own food if you have a specialist requirement.

Aims

To discuss in detail the relevant factors and considerations to ensure successful dento-alveolar surgery in practice.

Objectives

To consider:

  • Pre-operative planning and radiographic interpretation
  • Intra-operative techniques
  • Dealing with “difficult” medical histories
  • Discuss recent advances in techniques including socket preservation and autotransplantation.

At the end of the course participants will:

  • Be aware of the key features to allow for correct procedure planning
  • Be aware of the instrumentation and techniques to be used in dento-alveolar surgery
  • Understand the relevance of medical history to surgery
  • Increase awareness of current trends in oral surgery.
