To develop communication skills and help prepare students for interviews and presentations.

Objectives

During the session, students will

  • Reflect on the purpose and structure of interviews and presentations and the effective use of soft skills to enhance performance in both situations
  • Consider a framework for preparing for interviews and presentations
  • Practive presentations and analyse interview performance
Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, students should be able to

  • Plan and prepare for interviews and presentations using a preparation framework
  • Identify skills and techniques that they can use to improve their performance in interviews and presentations
  • Build rapport with interviewers and audiences
  • Identify further sources of skills support and help in preparing for presentations and interviews
