**Please note**

Level 3 is recommended for paediatric dentists and paediatric orthodontists (i.e. those who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of a child or young person and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding / child protection concerns). Level 3 training is not normally required for dentists and dental care professionals working in general dental practice.

You must have completed a Level 2 course within 12 months of attending this session.

 

This course is designed to raise awareness to professionals working in the dental industry of the important role they can and should play in safeguarding vulnerable clients, who might be at risk or be unable to protect themselves from harm or exploitation. Colin Welsh is an ex policeman of 30 years with a significant proportion of this time devoted to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. He founded Safeguarding Strategies Ltd in 2013 and has since provided safeguarding training and consultancy services to professionals throughout the country.
