Aims | The enable FDs to safely undertake root canal preparation using Ni-Ti rotary instrumentation and to explore contemporary thermal root canal filling techniques |
Objectives | - The objective is to reinforce previously taught principles of endodontic treatment as we become more familiar with advanced preparation and filling techniques. There will be an emphasis upon basic principles of 'good practice', reinforcing knowledge relating to prevention and treatment of root canal infection.
- The participants will be given ample opportunity to raise issues about which they are having problems and difficulties in an open and encouraging forum, allowing sharing of ideas within the group. Full participation by all will be encouraged in a FD centred setting.
Learning Outcomes - Participants will be more informed regarding the safe use of rotary instrumentation of root canals and have deeper insight into contemporary thermal obturation techniques based upon sound principles of good infection control.
