Present the basics of periodontal surgery and its uses in managing periodontal disease and conditions.

Objectives

- Describe the indications for periodontal surgery in disease management

- Explore the techniques available

- Explain the indications for each type through examples

- Discuss the expected outcomes

- Discuss the options and indications for recession management

- Appreciate the role of crown lengthening in restorative cases

Learning outcomes

- Develop awareness of the role of periodontal surgery in managing periodontal disease and conditions

- Understand the basic techniques and then they might be appropriate
