To enhance confidence in dental operative techniques relevant to the Dental Therapist.

Objectives
  • Learn the principles of cavity prep and caries removal.
  • Acquire how to identify instruments and review knowledge of the key properties of dental materials.
  • Improve confidence in cavity prep skills for restoration with appropriate dental materials.
  • Be able to learn how to have a greater skill and confidence in the carving, contouring, and polishing of restorations.
  • Obtain a greater skill and confidence in the placement of rubber dam.
Learning outcomes

Foundation Dental Therapist will:
