This workshop will allow participants to reflect on and explore their problem solving skills and review a number of problem solving methods.

Aims

To allow participants to review their problem solving skills and examine the factors necessary for developing an analytical and team approach to problem solving.

Objectives
  •  Explore relevant problem-solving models.
  •  Identify the skills necessary to systematically address problems fairly and consistently.
  •  Examine a range of creative problem-solving approaches
  •  Analyse skills and techniques to help prioritise issues and to develop a step-by-step approach solving problems. 
Learning outcomes

By the end of the webinar participants will be able to:

  • Identify problems of different scales and what is needed to solve them
  • Illustrate the use of an adaptable approach to solving problems
  • Recognise that problem solving is a core transferable skill and identify its usefulness in a work setting
