To introduce participants to an evidence based approach on cultivating the skill of self-compassion, which helps us respond to difficult moments in our lives with kindness, care and understanding.

Objectives

To

  • Raise awareness of the role of mindful self-compassion in supporting emotional resilience and wellbeing
  • Facilitate experiential exercises and informal practices to develop self care
  • Discuss the three elements of self-compassion
  • Practice some moments of mindfulness
  • Outline Paul Gilbert’s three circles of emotional regulation
  • Signpost participants to further resources on mindfulness and compassion
Learning outcomes

By the end of the webinar participants will have gained self care strategies to embed into daily life, which may also include moments of mindfulness that can be used throughout the day.
