Who should attend? GDC registered Dental Nurses planning to undertake the University of Liverpool Conscious Sedation for Dental Nurses CPD course and / or the registered Dentist who will be acting as their mentor throughout the course.

There is no fee for this course. However in order to register (and qualify for your CPD certificate) please email Julie Brannagan (jbrannag@liv.ac.uk) before the closing date on Friday 2nd September 2022 giving your full name, practice name, GDC number and your Mentor’s details.

Registration starts at 5:30pm.

Aims

To provide potential attendees and their mentors with details of the requirements needed to successfully undertake the University of Liverpool Conscious Sedation for Dental Nurses CPD course and examination. This course now offers the opportunity to gain a qualification in Intravenous Sedation, Inhalation Sedation or in both treatment modalities, depending on access in your clinical environment.

Learning outcomes

This evening session will provide participants with:

  • The requirements of both the Nurse and Mentor needed to complete the Clinical Portfolio including number of case studies, treatment logs, patient type etc.
  • The format of the course delivered at Liverpool School of Dentistry including; course content, timings and support.
  • The quantity and quality of work required in order to successfully complete the University of Liverpool Conscious Sedation for Dental Nurses CPD course and sit the University of Liverpool examination.
  • An opportunity to meet and ask questions of the Course Director and Administrator
