Aims

To raise awareness of the 'Prevent' agenda and its associated work in order to safeguard and prevent vulnerable people from being drawn into Terrorism.

Objectives
  • Describe the 'Prevent' agenda
  • Define far-right extremism and some aspects of non-violent extremism.
  • Identify the health professional’s role in recognising extremism
  • List potential signs of extremism
  • Discuss referral pathways for concerns.

Following the session dental professionals will have increased confidence in recognising potential signs of extremism and reporting to the appropriate body.
