| Aims | - To update teams on current legislation & practice of Safeguarding children and Vulnerable Adults and gain knowledge of context of Safeguarding within a dental practice

- Have knowledge of the categories and their definitions, signs and symptoms of child abuse
- Know what to do if you’re worried a child is being abused
- Understand why & how to share information in relation to safeguarding children and young people
- Develop an awareness of solutions & barriers to safeguarding children within health
- Gain knowledge of the context of child protection within a health environment
- Understand the legal and historical context of safeguarding vulnerable adults
- Increased awareness of the categories of abuse and signs and symptoms of vulnerable adult abuse
