DescriptionThis Webinar for Educational Supervisors will give practical advice on the use of the Hall Technique as a non-invasive treatment that prevents progression of caries in decayed deciduous molar teeth.

  • This course is a mandatory requirement for Dental Educational Supervisors in the North West Area and counts towards educational session requirements. 
  • To enable Dental Education Supervisors to mentor their foundation dentist in the effective use of the Hall Technique, attendees will receive a free Hall crown kit.

Aims

To provide experience of the management of caries in the primary dentition and the use of preformed metal crowns using the Hall technique

Objectives
  • Discuss the indications of the Hall Technique and where it may be considered best practice
  • Identify the Hall Technique as an effective way of managing decay in a primary molar
  • Select appropriate restorative materials for various clinical situations in the carious primary dentition
Learning outcomes

Delegates will:

  • Be able to transfer their skills into everyday general practice to manage decay in the primary dentition.
  • Feel more confident and competent in identifying when to use and applying the Hall Technique and mentor Foundation Dentists to do the same.
