To improve communication between Foundation Dentists, their patients and colleagues

To help Foundation Dentists recognize the value of Goal Setting and effective Time Management

Objectives
  • To explain the concept of Assertiveness; why Assertiveness is valuable in communication; demonstrate tools for developing Assertiveness
  • To introduce a process of effective Time Management; relating it to their Personal Goals; understanding the role of Goal Setting and Time Management in stress reduction

Learning Outcomes

  • To know what Assertiveness is; be aware of its value and be able to begin to use Assertive techniques; be more reflective when dealing with issues of communication
  • To increase self-awareness; have a better understanding of personal Goals and how to manage time more effectively to achieve those goals
