Aims

To provide an overview of the developments in local dentistry within the NHS

Objectives
  • Present information on the Lancashire and South Cumbria Sustainability Partnership and its relationship with dentistry
  • Discuss the work and function of the Routine Care Network, the Fleetwood Primary Care Home Pilot and the involvement of Oral Health.
  • Present information around the Special Care and Paediatric Dentistry Network
  • Explain the developments in the NHS with respect to dentistry and the need to make sure Oral Health is included in the process
  • Define the role of the Orthodontic Managed Clinical Network for Lancashire and South Cumbria, and the challenges it faces in the year ahead
  • Recognise the referral process for oral surgery and an update on the actions/processes relating to the suspension of new patient referrals at East Lancs Hospital Trust
