Aims | To refresh our understanding of fundamental principles that relate to the subject, with an emphasis upon access To improve our knowledge of endodontics using specific cases which illustrate the difficulties encountered, and how these problems might be overcome and avoided in the future
Objectives | The day will be based on two-way didactic interaction involving all participants through exploration of cases they wish to present. There will be an opportunity to do ‘hands on’ access of upper molars and the challenge of finding the MBII canal. More challenging and difficult cases will be preferred, which will offer the greatest learning opportunity No one need worry about the degree of difficulty encountered or having to admit not being able to fulfill the desired objective related to the specific case. Endodontics will be regarded within the context of comprehensive dental care for the patient.
Learning outcomes | Increased confidence in managing ‘themselves’ when carrying out endodontic treatment and greater knowledge as to how to plan and to carry out endodontic treatment. Also, attendees will have greater insight into which cases are appropriate to their level of skill, and those cases which would be better managed by onward referral.
