Description | All health professionals, including dental staff in general practice who provide treatment & support to promote patient's health, should take part in safeguarding training. | ||
Additional information | They should also have regular updates so that they can maintain their skills & are familiar with procedures aimed at safeguarding adults & children. This course, which is open to all members of the dental team including dentists, therapists, hygienists, DCPs & reception staff, is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with vulnerable adults, children, young people & families. It will be compliant with the "Local Safeguarding Children Board" requirements - i.e what to do if you are worried a child is being abused. The training will cover basic levels 1 & 2 of the legislation & guidance, in the recognition of child abuse & how to respond to concerns and adhere to safe working practices. It will provide each delegate with 3 hours CPD. | ||
