Aims

The purpose of the study day is to enable dentists to understand the principles and skills needed to critically appraise a medical/dental journal

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify the different types of study
  • Work with the CASP appraisal tool in small groups
  • Work through a medical journal and provide appraisal analysis in small group setting
Learning outcomes

At the end of the study day participants will:

  • Become familiar with the principles of critical appraisal
  • Understand the use of various CASP appraisal tools
