  • Provide greater understanding of the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ people in accessing healthcare services.
  • Promote awareness of how to support LGBTQ+ patients by developing inclusive practice and improved patient-centred care.
  • Offer suggestions for ongoing support to enable you to support your LGBTQ+ patients more effectively
Objectives
  • Begin to develop an action plan to improve LGBTQ+ patient experience.
  • Engage with LGBT Foundation (or other service providers working with LGBTQ+ people) to further gain confidence in best ways to support this community
